Accessing on-line Help from CAE


If users have Windows version of ABAQUS Version 6.7 or 6.8 installed in their networked PCs the on-line version of the manuals can be accessed by making the following changes : (for version 6.7 use 6.7 instead of 6.8 in the following lines) 
  • In the ABAQUS installation directory find the file :
    C:\ABAQUS\6.8-1\site\abaqus_v6.env
    add the following line to the end of that file ::
    doc_root="http://www-abaqus.eng.cam.ac.uk/v6.8" 
  • In the file :
    C:\ABAQUS\6.8-1\cae\Help\redirects\url.js
    set :
    var baseURL="http://www-abaqus.eng.cam.ac.uk/v6.8/books/";
